Revitalizing West Montgomery

ACTS CDC 2022 Project

A Message From the Board of Directors

If one wishes to make a difference in the community where he or she lives, work or worship, then there has to be a level of commitment and involvement, this is exactly what the Board of Directors for ACTS-CDC is doing.  We are trying to do our best to ensure that others have a quality of life that is second to none.  We believe that if we are going to help make a difference in the Westside communities, then we must do all that we can to help bring about positive changes.  Yes, we truly believe in what we are doing and we want to say thank you to all those who have come along beside us to support us in our efforts.  We are very humble by the support of our local donors from the public, private, business, and government sectors.   The old adage says, “progress is when we all push in the same direction.”  Therefore, the progress that we are making in the communities of Montgomery is because we have others who are helping us with our pushing.

We made many adjustments during 2019, 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, but we are doing our best to push forward.  Affordable housing is really needed in west Montgomery, and we will use every opportunity that we get to make sure that ACTS-CDC is trying to do just that.  ACTS-CDC Board of Directors is committed to our cause to revitalize West Montgomery and the surrounding communities.  We know that we learn by doing and we will continue to do all that we can as a board to make a difference for the citizens of Montgomery, Alabama.

Our latest renovation project was unveiled in May, 2022.  This project is a perfect example of what ACTS-CDC Board of Directors are committed to doing to help bring about positive changes.  That once blighted property is now the new home of a very deserving family.  Revitalization is a perpetual process that we will continue to do.  Our mission is to eradicate blighted properties in West Montgomery.  Again, we want to say thanks to all who believe in what we are doing and are supporting us in our efforts.  Thank you for helping us to do what we do.

ACTS CDC is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Our core business is providing affordable home ownership to low income families. Our primary service area east/west boundaries are from South Court to I-65; north/south boundaries Clayton Street to West Fairview Avenue.

The Board of Directors for ACST-CDC is committed to doing all that it can to enhance the lives of those who live, work, or worship in its service area.  We believe that if we are going to help make a difference in the Westside communities, then we must do all that we can to help bring about positive changes.

West Side Development

Our goal is to revitalize the West Side of Montgomery by renovating existing properties and providing affordable new construction single family homes. This process will create residents who are home owners and become the staples for a sustainable self-perpetuating community.
